Two Vacancies at this time: CLAS Consultant   Junior IA Practitioner/Consultant

CLAS Consultant - Nationwide

A position has arisen for a CLAS Consultant to join our busy and expanding Information Assurance Team. Initially the candidate will work alongside a senior consultant in delivering a range of CLAS services following HMG IA standards and policy including IAS1 Parts 1 & 2 and IAS2 and the best practice standard ISO27001.

This role will involve quantitative and qualitative information gathering, report writing, client interfacing and some project management responsibilities.

It is the long term intention that the successful candidate will be mentored and benefit from investment in training in order to become a competent senior consultant in supporting service delivery areas such as ISO27001 and PCI-DSS services.

Ideally, the candidate must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of HMG IA policies and standards and ISO27001, be able to provide references that can corroborate that and must hold a minimum of SC clearance.

In addition the candidate must have:

  • Strong communication skills;
  • Be commercially aware;
  • Experience in a services sector preferred but not essential;
  • Experience in an IT Security environment or IT in general may be an advantage including a CISSP qualification or equivalent.

Experience of working with the BS25999 or PCI-DSS standards might also be beneficial but not essential.

Salary: £37,000 to £42,000 basic
Benefits: 28 days holiday, payment into a pension scheme after 1 year, expenses including mileage.

Location:
The roles will involve a combination of client site, office and home based consultancy. We are able to support home working and offer a flexible approach to working hours, however it is anticipated that during the first 6 months there may be a need to work from the company’s offices in Halesowen, West Midlands on a more regular basis. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays. Advent IM encourages train travel where possible. However, candidates must hold a clean driving license and have their own transport.
