Information Security/Assurance Consultant - Nationwide
Here at Advent IM we are actively seeking an information security/assurance Consultant to join our expanding team on a permanent basis. Skills required include auditing against and implementing ISO27001 and risk management experience. A working knowledge of business continuity and PCI-DSS may also be an advantage for the successful applicant. If the candidate has worked within the government sector and has exposure to HMG guidelines, MPS etc... that will also be taken into consideration. Good communication skills, willingness to travel and ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team are essential for this role.
Our head office is based in the Midlands but our clients stretch across the UK. A combination of client site, office and home working will be required. You will also be expected to support the Sales Team on pre-sales visits from time to time. A minimum of 'SC' Security Clearance is preferred.
Salary: up to £40,000 depending on experience.
Commission: Commission is paid where pre-sales support is provided

Telesales Executive
A telesales position has arisen within Advent IM for selling information security consultancy services to the UK public sector (Government, Police and NHS) but with a view to expanding into the private sector. The role will involve self generation of leads through proactive cold calling, establishing a decision maker, educating the client on the benefits of the solutions and booking appointments for the Sales Manager. This role is predominantly office based although the successful candidate may be ask to support the sales team at exhibitions from time to time. Skills required include:
- A proven track record in telesales from cold calling, appointment making to sales closure
- Strong communication skills
- An excellent approach to business development with the confidence to take knock backs in their stride
- Experience in a services sector is preferred but not essential
- Whilst this is not a technical sales role, experience in an IT Security environment or IT in general may be an advantage but not essential.
Basic Salary: £16,000 - £17,000 basic
Commission: £5 per qualified lead. Commission Target £4,800 uncapped
